Outpost Summer Camp meets directly west of the main buildings at Canyonside Community Park, located in Rancho Penasquitos. We use our own log amphitheater to hold morning and afternoon "campfires", and have access to the adjacent fields and activity areas for our other recreational activities. (Map of Area) Our site is located at the easternmost edge of the Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve, where the 56 freeway meets Black Mountain Rd in Rancho Peñasquitos. Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve, a 3700-acre wilderness area with miles of hiking trails and other natural wonders, is jointly operated by the City and County of San Diego. |
