Outpost Summer Camp is located at the easternmost edge of the Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve, where the 56 freeway meets Black Mountain Rd in Rancho Peñasquitos. Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve, a 3000-acre wilderness area with miles of hiking trails and other natural wonders, is operated by the City and County of San Diego.
(Map of Area) Outpost Summer Camp meets directly west of the main buildings at Canyonside Community Park. We have direct access to the trails and streams in the Preserve, use our own log amphitheater to hold morning and afternoon "campfires", and have access to the adjacent fields for other recreational activities. |

Outpost Summer Camps is located just west of the main buildings at Canyonside Community Park. Canyonside Community Park's street address is: 12350 Black Mountain Rd, San Diego, CA 92129 When you enter the park at the main entrance (at the signal at Canyonside Park Drive), make an immediate right into the first parking area, and follow that road past the main buildings and back towards the tennis courts. Park and walk into the park directly west of the tennis courts. You'll see Outpost Summer Camp directly ahead. Please check in with a director upon your arrival. Note: On the Yahoo Map below, it shows a road entering the park directly off of Mercy Road. This is the entrance to the equestrian area, not the main park entrance, which is located 100 yards north, just up Black Mountain Rd. |
