Specialist Positions - Summer 2010

Our camp specialists are the backbone of camp! They keep things running smoothly AND provide additional activities and program for the campers.

Specialist

The Specialist has a number of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Providing a "nature" program (leading campers and their counselors in daily 30-45 minute activities related to Outpost's outdoor-based philosophy)
"Floating" as necessary to cover absent or sick staff
Photographing campers and staff for our eCamp website
General light maintenance duties (trash, storing swimsuits, snack preparation and distribution, etc)

Office Assistant (part time, afternoons)

The Office Assistant has a number of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Answering phone calls and providing information to parents and staff
Preparing documents/flyers for distribution at camp
Maintaining and posting content (photos and news stories) to Outpost eCamp website
Communicating clearly and accurately between the office and the on-site directors
Maintaining daily transportation driver log and fielding PM driver phone calls

Minimum requirement: Completion of at least one year of college, experience with MS Office applications.

This is a PART TIME position - afternoons (start time to be determined) until 6PM Monday through Friday June 14 - August 20 2010. Salary is $10-$12 per hour DOE.

Senior Outpost Specialist

The Senior Outpost Specialist has a number of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Providing support for all aspects of the Senior Outpost program (rockclimbing, snorkeling, sailing, high ropes, challenge course, beach trips, etc.)
"Floating" as necessary to cover absent or sick staff
AM set up of camp and PM "tear down" (prepping/cleaning logs, coolers, supplies and other tasks)
General light maintenance duties (trash, storing swimsuits, snack preparation and distribution, etc)
